Big and Small

A nigh at the theatre - what an experience. We went to see Cate Blanchett in "Big and Small" and her performance was outstanding. She is one of our absolute favorite actresses and she didn't disappoint us. The production itself was a bit challenging: a very pure and simple stage, fast switching actors and a complicated story. Dressed for the occasion, Diana decided to wear a long dress combined with a blazer. And it was the first night out with her new shoes: plateau heels from Zara! (dress and bag: Topshop; blazer: H&M; watch: Casio; nail polish: Essie)

Einen Abend im Theater - was für eine Erfahrung. Wir haben Cate Blanchett im Stück "Big and Small" im Rahmen der Wiener Festwochen gesehen und Ihre Darstellung war einzigartig. Sie ist eine unserer absoluten Lieblingsschauspielerinnen und sie hat uns nicht enttäuscht. Die Produktion selbst war eine kleine Herausforderung: ein puristisches Bühnenbild, Darsteller tauchten unkoordiniert auf der Bühne auf und die Geschichte war etwas kompliziert. Dem Anlass entsprechend gekleidet hat sich Diana für ein langes Kleid in Kombination mit einem Blazer entschieden. Und es war die erste Nacht mit ihren neuen Schuhen: Plateauschuhe von Zarah! (Kleid und Tasche: Topshop; Blazer: H&M; Uhr: Casio; Nagellack: Essie)

We went for a shopping tour in the city and this combination all in black with leo wedges is an all time favorite look! 

Diana wears leather jacket from Tommy Hilfiger Denim, sweater, bag and bracelets from H&M, leggings from Gina Tricot, necklace from Topshop and sun glasses from Lindex.

Wir waren in der Stadt shoppen und dieser Look ganz in schwarz ist einer unserer Lieblingslooks. Die Leo Wedges geben dem Style noch das gewisse Etwas und machen das eher klassische Ensemble komplett.

My Week with Marilyn

Michelle Williams does a great work on giving us an insight of Marilyn Monroe. Since the movie is based on a true story you get an overview of the work on a filmset and of Marilyns behaviour. For those who have watched documentaries or read books about Mrs Monroe, this movie reveals no secrets and shows a rather boring time of her life, I must confess. But for Michelles talent and the Marilyn style, I enjoyed watching it. But probably won’t again.

Michelle Williams ist blendend in der Rolle der Marilyn Monroe. Da dieser Film nach einer wahren Begebenheit spielt, bekommt man einen Einblick in die Arbeit am Filmset und von Marilyns Allüren. Für diejenigen, die bereits Dokumentarfilme gesehen oder Bücher über Mrs Monroe gelesen haben, deckt dieser Film keine Geheimnisse auf, sondern zeigt, zugegebener Maßen, einen eher langweiligen Teil ihres Lebens. Doch wegen Michelles großem Talent und dem Marilyn Stil habe ich mir den Film sehr gerne angesehen. Werde es aber wahrscheinlich kein zweites Mal tun.

The Avengers

This is a spectacular action movie which must have cost a fortune. Alone to pay off all the stars appearing in it. Though it was exciting to see all these great actors/actresses in their supercool outfits, it took too much time to tell the story of every character even though you got very little information. As an action movie it has fighting scenes, explosions, good vs evil, and a lot of clischees. For my taste there were too many and the movie went on too long. The apocalypse is set in Manhattan and american heroes have to save the world as they make lame jokes. Do I have to say more? For all girls out there I can assure that Chris Hemsworth (Thor) is worth seeing in action and for the boys Scarlett Johansson looks delicious in her supertight outfit. But for the story and wit you should defenitely choose another movie ;-)

Dies ist ein spektakulärer Action Film, der ein Vermögen gekostet haben muss. Alleine, um alle Stars zu bezahlen, die darin vorkommen. Obwohl es toll war, all diese Schauspieler/Innen in ihren supercoolen Outfits zu sehen, hat es viel zu viel Zeit gekostet von jedem einzelnen Charakter die Geschichte zu erzählen, aus der man eigentlich auch nicht sehr viel erfahren hat. Wie in jedem typischen Action Film gibt es jede Menge Kampfszenen, Explosionen, das Gute gegen das Böse und jede Menge Klischees. Für meinen Geschmack waren es zu viele und der Film war viel zu lang. Die Apokalypse beginnt auf Manhattan und die amerikanischen Helden müssen gleichzeitig die Welt retten und schlechte Witze schmeißen. Muss ich noch mehr sagen? Allen Mädels kann ich beruhigt sagen, dass es sich lohnt, Thor zu sehen und für die Burschen ist Scarlett Johansson in ihrem superengen Outfit auch ein absoluter Hingucker. Aber für die Story und den Witz solltet ihr unbedingt einen anderen Film wählen ;-)
